Phil Starke Art Instruction DVDs for Oil Painters
www.StarkeStudio.com
Announcing two new art instruction DVDs now available by Phil Starke.
Phil Starke has been painting professionally since his graduation from the
American Academy of Art in Chicago , IL . He maintains gallery
representation in all parts of the country. Phil has been teaching classes
and workshops around the country for over 20 years and is professionally
associated with the Scottsdale Artists School , teaching workshops every
year with students from every region of the country as well as Canada . Many
of his students have gone on to obtain gallery representation and win
awards.
Now Phil has taken some of his most sought after topics and put them onto
DVD format so students can take all the time they need to study and
practice, rather than being limited to a one-time class. Each disk covers a
variety of complicated issues painters face and Phil breaks those issues
down and simplifies them, explaining how to solve problems as well as
offering tipa and techniques each student can make use of right away. While
approaching the individual topic in each disk Phil will teach:
- his thought process in his approach to mixing color
- how to use the planes of the landscape
- understanding values and how to use them to give depth to the painting
- how to know what to eliminate from the scene in order to enhance the
composition
- about color temperature when mixing color
- technique with brushes and palette knife
- the use of hard and soft edges and what effect they have on your painting
- how to use photos and outdoor sketches correctly and effectively
- finishing a painting without unnecessary details
- understanding the use of broken color and subtle value changes
Free previews of each disk can be seen at www.StarkeStudio.com
