Adams will be having a show at the The show "Depy Adams, Recent Work" opens November 2 and closes December 13. The artist's reception is scheduled for Sunday, November 4, 12 noon to 3 pm. The work consists of plein air and studio work done in oils, pastels, and watercolors."Go east out of town on Tanque Verde Road to Soldier's Trail. Turn left toward the mountains. Turn right on Roger Road. The park will be on your left. The gallery is in the white ranch house. Hours are Wed-Fri 1-4pm, Sat & Sun 8-4pm. Depy plans to "sit" the gallery as much as possible while it is hanging from Nov. 2-Dec 13. Ron Schlorff; he will be in the Nomadas Del Artes show
Lynne Cunningham
Early this summer Lynne
spent two weeks as a Finalist with the Artist-in-Residence
program, hosted by the National Parks Service. She spent
2 weeks in residence at Whiskeytown Lake in Shasta County. She
has a solo show opening Sept. 1 at the Arte Junction gallery in
Winters, CA, with paintings painted en plein air and studio
work; the show is based on the setting of Whiskeytown Lake.
The name of the show is "On the Loose, between Image and
Abstraction". The show runs Sept. 1 thru Oct 5th.

Mark Hohnstreiter, TPAPS artist member, was recently awarded a Windgate Charitable Foundation scholarship to the Scottsdale Artists' School. The scholarship will provide him with an opportunity to study plein air painting with William Scott Jennings in Sedona this April. * Cindy Carrillo received an Award of Merit at the Tubac Center of the Arts Juried Members Show.

Little Treasure Show is on and TPAPS was well represented in the
winners bracket! Eight pieces were selected as Best of Show:
Doug Shelton, TPAPS
member, will be giving a music performance
this Sunday, November 18th, 2:00pm to 4:00pm, at
Tohono Chul Park. Doug will be playing guitars that he
has made and singing a few of his original songs. This concert
is in conjunction with the show in the gallery "Music to My
Eyes,
Musical Instruments as Art" There is a fee to enter the
park ,but the performance is free.

Oil Painters of America has accepted a painting by
Sandy Brodie,
'Fall
River - Estes Park' to be included in the upcoming
OPA 2007 Western Regional
Juried
Exhibition
at the
Waterhouse Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA. Show will be on
exhibit from September 16 through October 15, 2007.
Opening reception is
Saturday, September 15, 2007. The reception will now take place
from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., with the awards presentation at 5:30
p.m.

Carol Swinney’s
painting “Along Pontatoc Ridge” won “Jury’s Top 50” award at the
2007 Salon International Museum of Contemporary Masters of Fine Art.
The show was hosted by Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art in San
Antonio, Texas, May 19th through June 15th, 2007.

Fred Wackerle's
painting "Sabino Clouds" received third place award
|
This painting event hosts 200 painters including guest artists, invited artists, and juried artists. They are all to bring in 2 paintings, done in these 5 states: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Utah. The final show will be in March of 2008 at the Sage Gallery in Santa Fe. With 400 paintings total it will be a terrific showing of plein-air work in the west. Please let us know if you have been invited/juried into this show so we can add you to the list. TPAPS will be having a strong show of participation.
